My Mission

"To reach hunters, men just like me, and lead them to Jesus Christ through adventures in God’s creation and to challenge Christian hunters to live a life of purpose."

My mission is to help men just like I was and to reach these men with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I understand where you are, I understand how you believe and how you think—I’ve been there.

There was a time in my life when I used the gifts, talents, and abilities that God gave me for my own selfish pleasure. I didn’t understand that He breathed in me the passion for hunting and the love of the outdoors that He created, and that He wanted that passion for hunting to be used for His glory.

I thought that if I accepted Jesus and made Him my Savior and Lord, that He would want me to give up the all the things that I loved—the very things that He created me to do. I was wrong. God only wants to love me for myself—just the way He created me. He doesn’t want to change me. He just wants me to live for Him instead of for myself.

After 35 years of living for myself and doing my will, I finally gave my life to Jesus Christ and I finally understood what He wanted and I have been able to use those very same gifts, talents and abilities for His glory, which has been for my good also. I see the outdoors and His creation through different eyes and I appreciate it more now than when I was just in a tree hunting a deer.

That’s why I started Full Draw Ministries—for His glory. Full Draw Ministries exists to tell everyone the Good News of Jesus Christ, using God's great outdoors as a platform. God has blessed me with a particular ability in hunting and an ability to present that in a way that appeals to the hearts of other hunters.

I believe that everything I do is for the ultimate purpose of leading men with common interests in hunting to Jesus Christ. For some men, that may be an initial introduction to the Savior and how to know Him personally. For others, it may be instilling a renewed desire for a closer relationship with the Lord.

God made us men and He still expects us to be men after we give our lives to Jesus Christ. Men have an innate desire for adventure and challenge. Men who have a love for hunting and the outdoors find that desire for adventure and challenge best fulfilled in hunting. I try to relate it to God’s creation and His Son as the only Way to true happiness and eternal life in heaven.

God wants us to be the man He designed us to be AND the man He desires us to be—but you can’t truly be the man, the husband or the father He desires you to be, until you give your life to Jesus.

What exactly is a christian hunting ministry?

Full Draw Ministries is a Christian hunting ministry—what does this mean?

It simply means that God wants to use our gifts and passions to glorify Himself. It doesn't matter what the avenue is—mine just happens to be hunting, but whatever it is, God wants to use it to draw people to Him.

So, Christian hunting is, to me, going out on a stand with the goal of experiencing God and making Him the goal, versus leaving disappointed that I ever went home empty-handed.

It's about experiencing the Creation and worshipping the Creator; it's about sacrificing my time and comfort to give back. It's about knowing there is more to life than sheds, mounts, and ‘trophy' rooms.

I feel there is nothing more important than a relationship with Jesus Christ; and God wants to use hunting to share these things to the people of the hunting world.

When I was first moved to start Full Draw Ministries, I began with a very general vision in mind—a Christian hunting ministry aimed at helping men come to know Jesus Christ.

The Bible is very clear that we are all given different gifts; and my intent is that I can use my gift to draw people together for Jesus Christ—encouraging each other and making Christ known to others.

All gifts should be used to keep our lives rolling in the direction that God intends them to go—to give Him glory and make His name known to all. My passion is hunting, my gifts are shooting a bow and telling my story and I just want to use these gifts for His Glory.
